A while after we made this tee for Ryan Singer, Ryan's comedian friend and colleague Dave Stone asked us to help him make one of those list-of-names tee shirts that are forever popular. After a little Googling, we found out the most common and popular font to use when making that style of tee shirt is Arial Black or Helvetica. Arial Black is not exactly an uncommon font, and of course we already own a copy. Dave wanted to list the names of four comedians that would be touring together at the end of the year, including himself.

After looking at some different examples found online to see what was most common in terms of kerning and tracking, number of lines, etc, we made the list in Arial Black - and also made a few other versions, which were rejected for the traditional look. This was super-quick, and a fun little research project. We provided the final files to Dave, prepped for the shirt printer (Printful), and versions sized to use on various social media. We also provided the artwork for the sleeve, which is shown below (the name of the tour). Printful have a really good mockup tool, so you can get a pretty good idea of what your shirt is going to look like on a real person before you commit.

Find out more about the tour here, and go buy one of the shirts when they come through town.
